Nominations Now Open for AFP's 2024 Distinguished Fellows

AFP's Distinguished Fellows Program recognizes individuals who have made significant leadership contributions to philanthropy and the fundraising profession, and who continue to advance ethical and effective fundraising through their volunteer and advisory work. The designation represents the pinnacle of service to AFP and the profession, and to the tenets of giving, volunteerism, and philanthropy. They are now accepting nominations for the 2024 class of Distinguished Fellows to be recognized at ICON 2024. The deadline for submission of completed nominations is October 1, 2024. Catchafire Capacity Building Platform

Nonprofits are encouraged to sign up for Catchafire, a FREE online capacity-building platform that will connect your organization with skilled volunteers. Get help with website design, communications, fundraising, accounting, executive coaching, and more. Local nonprofits have received more than $2 million in capacity-building services at no cost. Catchafire is made possible by a partnership between the St. Louis Community Foundation and Missouri Foundation for Health. Click here to learn more.

United Way of Greater St. Louis Launches 2025 Targeted Funding Cycle

 

United Way of Greater St. Louis is making $400,000 available through its Targeted Funding pool. This initiative, known as United For Safer Communities is a commitment to creating safer, healthier communities for everyone. Nonprofits focused in these areas are encouraged to apply. FOCUS St. Louis BoardBridge Applications Open!

 

Increasing the diversity of our St. Louis nonprofit boards is essential if we are to be a more inclusive region. Now in its second year, BoardBridge is an initiative of FOCUS St. Louis designed to help connect nonprofit boards and diverse candidates through a matching process. Applications are now being accepted from both nonprofits and candidates through Sept. 20, 2024. Space is limited, and applications may close earlier if capacity is reached. REGISTER - Pitch Partners: Cancer Research

Join the Center for Community Health Partnership & Research for Pitch Partners, a pitch-style event focused on cancer research, co-sponsored by Siteman Cancer Center. Researchers and community members will present their project ideas in five-minute pitches, followed by a Q&A session. The event also includes networking and feedback opportunities, with presenting teams potentially invited to apply for a $10,000 award. Apply to pitch at this link, the deadline is Sept. 5, 2024, or register to attend the event at the link below.

 

REGISTER - Grant Multiverse Regional Conference by Grant Professionals Association (GPA) St. Louis Regional Chapter

Join the St. Louis GPA Chapter in St. Charles, MO for an in-person conference on grants. The event will take place on September 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from 14 expert speakers and panelists, network with grant professionals, and work towards building a brighter future for their organizations. This event will feature content suitable for grant professionals of all skill levels, as well as staff writers and consultants.
